To the entire University of Sierra Leone community, our esteemed faculty, dedicated​ staff, ​

through you, to the nation: ​

On this eve of the 65th Independence​ Anniversary, we stand together as one university family, proud of our heritage and hopeful for our future. We commend and thank His Excellency the President,Dr. Julius Maada Bio, the Honorable Vice President, Dr. Mohmaed Juldeh Jalloh,and the Cabinet, especially the Honorable Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie, for their steadfast support of higher education as the bedrock of national transformation. At 65, Sierra Leone is not looking back in regret but forward with determination. To every citizen: hope is not a distant dream;it is being built daily in our lecture halls, laboratories, hospitals, and management centres. The University of Sierra Leone pledges to remain the intellectual soul of this nation. The best 65 years of Sierra Leone are just beginning!
