Admission and graduation criteria

Candidates can enter the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) programme either through successful completion of the COMAHS premedical programme or through direct entry depending on the admission criteria listed below: Final selection of all applicants is subject to a successful interview.

Direct entry Into the MBChB Programme Students can enter the first year of the MBChB programme if they fulfil one of the requirements listed below:

3 GCE 'A' levels (A-C) in any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in not more than two sittings or an equivalent qualification.
Graduates with a bachelor's degree at Second class Upper (2-1) or Division-2 or better in science from a recognized university Knowledge of French is an advantage.
Candidate applying with bachelor's degree must have obtained five (5) credits at WASSCE or its equivalent before applying for the programme.
