Pay Admission Fees

Register Using Your Email

Access portal from usl.edu.sl, create your account, check email for verification link, click verification link, create password for future logins

Submit Online Application

Complete the comprehensive online application form with all required information and documents.

Stay informed about your application progress: Login to portal regularly, view application status updates, check email frequently for notifications from Central Admissions

Provisional Admission Letter

Review and respond to your provisional admission: Login to portal to view letter, accept or decline the offer, if accepted, pay required fees at designated banks

The University of Sierra Leone (FBC, IPAM, COMAHS & School of Postgraduate Studies)

The University of Sierra Leone (Fourah Bay College — FBC, Institute of Public Administration and Management — IPAM, College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences — COMAHS, and School of Postgraduate Studies) wishes to inform the general public that it will open the online Portal for applications on Wednesday, 20th August 2025 for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses tenable at FBC, IPAM, and COMAHS for the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

The Portal also makes provision for application into the University's eLearning Master's programmes in:

  • Business Administration
  • Communication & Development Studies
  • Journalism & Media Studies
  • Public Relations & Marketing Communication

Postgraduate NLe 600.00

Prospective applicants can pay the application fee at the following banks in Freetown or any of their branches in the regions:

  • Commerce and Mortgage Bank PLC (CMB)
  • Rokel Commercial Bank
  • Sierra Leone Commercial Bank
  • Union Trust Bank
Deadline: Saturday, 20th September 2025 for Undergraduate Programmes.
Note: Diploma and Certificate courses at the University of Sierra Leone are terminal programmes. Applicants from Diploma and Certificate programmes who wish to apply for degree programmes must fulfill the University's minimum entry requirements.

What you need to qualify for our programs

Degree Programmes

The University entry requirements for Degree Programmes are five credits obtained in not more than two sittings with a minimum of C6 in English Language at the General Certificate Examination (GCE) 'O' Level or West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). In addition, applicants must satisfy Faculty and Departmental requirements for admission into the various programmes.

In the case of the GCE 'O' Level Exams, only grades ranging from 1 to 6 are recognized as Credit passes; for WASSCE A1-C6; whilst for the Associate Examinations Board (London GCE 'O' and A Level) only C or better is recognized.

Diploma and Certificate Programmes

For admissions into the Diploma and Certificate programmes, applicants must obtain 4 Credits for Diploma and 3 Credits for certificate courses including C6 in English Language or better at WASSCE/GCE 'O' Level. Applicants with IGCSE falls under this category.
