Dr. Abdulai Walon-Jalloh is the Head of Department for Language Studies and Senior Lecturer at Fourah Bay College (FBC) University of Sierra Leone (USL). He holds a PhD. Linguistics degree from Njala University. He also read his B.A. Honours Linguistics and M.Phil. Linguistics at FBC USL. He has been lecturing Syntax and Foundation Studies in the Department of Language Studies since 2000. His research interests are Syntax, Sierra Leonean Languages and particularly the grammar of Fula and Krio. Walon-Jalloh has authored six books (Voices and Passions (SLWS 2015), Hungry Vultures (SLWS 2016), Panbody Blues (SLWS 2017), Hills, Valleys & Echoes (2019), A Review of Salone Poetry Volume 1(2019) and Blood & Ballot (2019) which are published by Sierra Leonean Writers Series and are on sale at www.amazon.com, SLWS Bookstores in Sierra Leone, CLC Bookshops in Freetown and Shyllon the Bookseller on Back Street by Upper East Street around PZ Area.
