Program Description

The Diploma in Cultural Studies at the University of Sierra Leone is a professional program designed to provide students with foundational knowledge of culture, society, and the arts. The program prepares graduates to analyze, preserve, and promote cultural heritage, and to engage in community and media-based cultural initiatives.

Graduates are prepared for employment in museums, cultural centers, media organizations, NGOs, government cultural departments, and for further studies in cultural studies, anthropology, or arts management.

The minimum requirement is 4 (four) GCE ???O??? Level/WASSCE credits, including English Language and History, in not more than two sittings. Holders of other relevant qualifications e.g. Teachers??? Certificate who have demonstrated aptitude in the arts or cultural skills may be invited for an interview to determine their eligibility.
