Professor Jimmy Kandeh making a donation of books on mainly Microbiology, on behalf of the Teach For Sierra Leone Foundation, to the Library of the College of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences.

The books were mobilized by the American Society for Microbiology, with the assistance of a Sierra Leonean compatriot, Dr. Diane Kawa.

Similar donations were made to other colleges and institutions accross the country. Professor Kandeh assured members of staff/faculty as well as the students present that this was the first of what is hopefully more to come from the Teach for Sierra Leone Foundation. He specifically mentioned that there was a collection of books for medical assistants and nurses on the way.

Professor Kandeh was assured by the Dean of Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Ramatulai Wurie, the Librarian, Mr. Saidu Sesay and a student representative that the books would be put to the best of use and handled with care.

The Ag. Deputy Registrar welcomed the offer and thanked Professor Kandeh and his associates for their  donation to the College.
