Proficiency in Public Procurement (SCPR601)
This training programme will look at the requirements for implementing procurement in the supply chain.
This 3–week course will address the concept, legal regulatory and institutional framework of the SL Public Procurement System, and preparation of Procurement Plans amongst other topics.
Target Group: The course is designed for Procurement Practitioners in both the Private and Public Sectors.

The 7-day course introduces procurement practitioners and managers to the fundamentals of private sector procurement and contract management. Also emphasis will be placed on topics and skills development, which include comprehensive negotiation planning and preparation such as: the understanding and use of different communication styles; negotiation strategies and tactics; bargaining and questioning techniques; resolving deadlocks; and formally finalizing negotiations among others.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to incorporate the best practices identified during the classroom training into their workplace routines.
Target Group: This course is targeted at individuals who are aiming to become procurement officers, administrators and managers in the private sector.
