THE SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

The School of Postgraduate Studies (SPS) is a charged with the responsibility of coordinating all postgraduate courses within the University of Sierra Leone system. Like the constituent colleges, it has its own administrative and academic structure that is headed by a Dean (Prof. Joe Anthony Dominic Alie) who reports directly to the Vice Chancellor & Principal of the University of Sierra Leone.

The Dean is assisted in the administrative day to day running of the School by a Deputy Registrar, who heads its Registry, and its financial aspect by a Finance Superintendent.

The School has a Resource Centre housed in its offices that is open for use by All registered postgraduate students. The Resource Centre contains Theses and Dissertations that would be useful for academic work and writing of research papers.

Contrary to popular beliefs, the School of Postgraduate Studies is not part of Fourah Bay College but rather that its offices are located on the Fourah Bay College Campus.
