A delegation from the American International School of Conakry (AISC) and a prominent high school in Liberia recently paid a courtesy visit to the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) to explore opportunities for student placement and academic collaboration.

The delegation was received by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Lakkoh, who underscored IPAM’s distinguished role in Sierra Leone’s higher education landscape. He described the institution as a centre of excellence dedicated to quality teaching, cutting-edge research, and professional development.

“IPAM is uniquely positioned to drive the future of higher education in Sierra Leone,” said Professor Lakkoh. “We are not just an institution of learning; we are a hub for innovation and professional growth, and we welcome partnerships that bring fresh perspectives and talented students to our campus.”

Speaking on behalf of the visiting students, Musa expressed gratitude to IPAM’s management for the warm welcome and the insightful engagement. He noted that the visit offered valuable guidance for their academic decisions.

“The level of detail and the welcoming atmosphere here have truly impressed us,” Musa remarked. “This visit has given us a clear picture of what IPAM offers, and I can assure the management that we will carry this information back with us and make the best use of it as we plan our futures.”

Founded in 1963, the American International School of Conakry was originally established to serve the dependents of U.S. Embassy staff. Over the years, it has grown to welcome both local and international students seeking an American-style education in Guinea’s capital.

This visit marks a significant step in strengthening academic exchange and international cooperation between IPAM and educational institutions across the West African sub-region and beyond.
