Communication and Development Studies (BA.)
Development Communication Unit will focus on the practice of applying processes, strategies and principles of communication to achieve positive social change. Development communication uses communication to facilitate social development with techniques like information dissemination and education, behaviour change, social marketing, social mobilization, media advocacy, communication for social change and community participation. It is intended to build consensus and facilitate knowledge sharing to achieve positive change in development initiatives. A minimum of five credits at WASSCE C5 or better in English not more than two sittings. All applicants for the degree shall be required to take the Special Examination in English. The pass mark for the examination will be based on the university standards.
