The College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), University of Sierra Leone, officially inaugurated the 2025/2026 academic year with an orientation ceremony for its newly admitted students held on January 21, 2026.

Also welcomed were students entering Pre-BSc Nursing and the Diploma in Nurse Anesthesia.

It provides a foundational platform for new students to navigate their academic journey, understand college resources, and build early connections with peers and mentors.

“The orientation is more than a formal welcome; it is the first step in shaping the future healthcare leaders of Sierra Leone,” Mrs Yatta Kamara, the Acting Deputy Registrar said . “We are committed to ensuring our students are well-informed and supported from day one.”

The ceremony marks the beginning of the academic calendar, setting the stage for the incoming students to embark on their professional training in the medical and allied health fields.
