An eleven-man delegation from Ahmadou Dieng University in Guinea is expected to arrive in Sierra Leone on Wednesday 31st July, 2019. The trip is a return visit following an earlier visit to the Ahmadou Dieng University in Guinea by a delegation from the University of Sierra Leone in June 2019 after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Universities. The delegation is expected to meet with senior officials of the University including the Vice Chancellor and Principal, the Deputy Vice Chancellors of Fourah Bay College (FBC), the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), and the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS). The delegation will further hold talks with Deans of Faculties, Directors and Heads of departments. It is hoped that the return visit of The Ahmadou Dieng University delegation would solidify cooperation in the promotion of scholarship and create a framework for exchange programmes for students and staff, joint research programmes including curriculum development and review, publications and development projects. Ahmadou Dieng University is a private university in Guinea that has developed over the years in the area of Science and Technology.

STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SIERRA LEONE WERE GRANTED PERMISSION TO SIT THE 2018/2019 SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS EVEN THOUGH A GOOD NUMBER OF THEM HAD NOT PAID FEES. THIS WAS DONE ON THE MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING THAT ALL DEFAULTING STUDENTS WOULD MAKE GOOD THEIR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS TO THE RESPECTIVE COLLEGES IMMEDIATELY, ON COMPLETION OF THE SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS. The University of Sierra Leone is to host a National Multiplication Training (NMT)
The University of Sierra Leone is to host a National Multiplication Training (NMT) on quality assurance and curriculum development in 2020. The training will be sponsored by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) through the University of Potsdam, Berlin, Germany. Prof. Ronnie Frazer-Williams of the University of Sierra Leone is the lead trainer to be assisted by Dr Sherman Kamara of Njala University, Dr Samba Moriba of Freetown Teachers College and two international experts one from Africa and the other from Germany.
